Nokia brings a new phone to Asha platform

Nokia launches Asha 501 at an event in Delhi, India.

Asha 501 sports a 3-inch QVGA capacitive touch Screen display and supports two finger multitouch. Has a 3.2 MP primary camera and houses 1,200mAh battery. Will be available in single and dual SIM variants. The second SIM on the phone can be replaced without removing the back cover. Asha 501 will have connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB. 3G option to be available in the upcoming Asha 5XX series, Nokia confirmed. Phone measures 99.2x58x12.1mm and weighs 98grams.

To be available in India for Rs.5,300 by June and in other market for just $99 single SIM version.
