Micromax announces Canvas Win W121 and Canvas Win W092

Micromax India's largest smartphone manufacturers become a Microsoft OEM partner by announcing Canvas Win W121 and Canvas Win W092.

Both the smartphones to run on latest Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 OS. While Micromax Canvas Win W121 sports a 5" inch 720p display and powered by Quad Core Snapdragon 200 CPU from Qualcomm and coupled with 1GB of RAM. To have storage capacity of 8GB and can be expanded via microSD card slot. At the rear to have 8MP camera with LED flash and 2MP camera at the front. The Windows smartphone to house 2000mAH battery and to have faux leather at the rear. Micromax Windows phone to hit the Indian market at the cost of ₹9500.

Micromax Canvas Win W092 holds the same CPU and 1GB of RAM, but sports a 4' inch WVGA display. To have 8GB of expandable storage. Micromax is offering 5MP camera and a VGA front camera for W092 and to have dual-SIM option. Canvas Win W092 to hit the Indan shore by July at the cost of ₹6500 and to become the cheapest Windows Phone.


Tech2Me is expecting that Micromax has plans to launch more Windows Phone by this year end.

Nokia set to announce Lumia 1520 in the Indian market

Nokia announced Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320 phablets

Today Nokia has announced its first phablet with 6" inch display, Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320. Both the devices to run on Windows Phone 8 from Microsoft and to house 3400 mAh battery.

Nokia Lumia 1520:

Lumia 1520 to be powered by 2.2GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 CPU, coupled with Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The phablet to come with 32GB of internal storage and can be expandable via microSD card slot. At the back it will carry a 20MP 1080p HD camera with dual LED flash and a 1.2MP front camera. To have 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution of display with 367 PPI and the smartphone is excpecrted to weigh around 209 grams. The device to sold at $749 US (46,500₹)

Lumia 1320

To sport a 6" inch display with 720 x 1280 PX resolution and to pack 245 PPI. Lumia 1320 is powered by 1.7GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 coupled with Adreno 305 and 1GB of RAM. At the back to hold a 8MP 1080p camera with a LED flash and 0.3MP VGA camera at the front for video calling. The smartphone weighs 220 grams and to come with 8GB of internal storage and can be expandable via microSD card slot.

Lumia 1320 is expected to be available in the market by January 2014 with a price tag of just $339 US (21,000₹), While Lumia 1520 by December 2103 in China, Hong Kong, UK, France, Germany, US and European market.
