Samsung India announced its new range of “Smart” TVs in Bangalore on Tuesday, and was announced by S. K. Kim, Senior Vice President, Consumer Electronics, for Samsung India. These TV's are developed and designed at Samsung’s development centers at Bangalore and Noida in India. They have also launched an “Evolution kit” sold separately which will cost Rs.17,000 and will help consumers to upgrade software and hardware of their TV sets in the future. The F8000 and F7500 models are the first of its kind to have a quad-core processor.

Samsung India has launched 22 new models of TVs in the Indian market. Samsung showcased its 85-inch first Ultra High Definition TV, the 85S9 model which is set to launch by late 2013.
